A naturally artistic soul, Kat always knew her life’s calling would be creativity-based, whether that be through photography, fashion or interior design, or teaching art. Referring to herself as a “design nerd,” she enjoys thinking of the world around her in standards of design principles. Kat says, “Design is the equivalent to air for me. If I’m not creating, I don’t feel like I’m being productive.” Outside of work, her trinity of happiness comes in the form of spontaneous adventures, playing classic games like tic-tac-toe and hangman with her husband (and winning every time), and anything even remotely related to coffee.

In true “creative brains are wired differently” fashion, Rachelle critiques the design aspects of a menu before deciding what to eat and gains inspiration from the appearance of everyday objects. Throughout her time in school, her presentations always received the most attention. She didn’t want to just give information; she wanted to make everything visually interesting. Rachelle believes all working artists need a creative outlet different from their source of income, so she took up cooking and baking: “It’s funny - I get the same ‘You made this?!’ from something I made in the kitchen as I do when I design something really cool.”

Madison literally grew up around creativity, as she helped out at her grandparents' T-shirt printing company running shirts, cleaning screens, printing designs, and helping her grandmother with graphics. An environment like this allowed Madison to find joy in the endless amounts of ways to create beautiful designs and brands. Just as her work days are never stagnant, she says, "I have a free spirit and try not to get stuck to one routine. It allows for my mind to constantly wander." Her other love of outdoor adventure has put traveling and kayaking at the top of her list of hobbies.

Creative Commander of Shapes
At 4 years old, Karen was asking every adult for money to buy colorful gel pens to doodle on her backpack, desks, her hands, her friends’ hands, and even her shoes. For many years, she stepped away from pursuing art as a career, but could never stop thinking in color or seeing in shapes. She says, “I do what I do because of the joy I get when a graphic serves its purpose; the full circle of thinking, creating, editing, and printing and knowing it will make someone other than me happy.” Karen’s other joys come in the form of her 5-year-old Yorkie named Logan, her nieces, and her caffeine obsession.

Growing up in smaller cities allowed Rachel to understand and appreciate the inner workings of tight-knit communities and what it’s like to serve others while learning each person’s unique background. “My vision has always been to create remarkable experiences, and that all starts with your story,” she says. Rachel values the personal trust that clients put in her to bring their ideas to life, and that special interaction drives her passion to capture their stories as if they were her own. She adores her family, the great outdoors (or just a good back porch), writing music, serving her church, and “enjoying all the good foods!”

The Wonderful Wizard of Words
Known as the quick-witted comedian of her family, Jackie’s detail-oriented storytelling has always been easy for her to transfer to paper. The foundation of her love for writing started when she was very young, spending days obsessing over the Scholastic Book Fair catalogue and plotting her book-buying gameplan. “Now, I’m sharing my writing with others. To create voices. To say what people want to say; they just never knew how to say it,” Jackie says. Outside of work, her true loves include tacos (any way, shape, form, time of day, or toppings), “accidentally” buying too many house plants, and road trips with family or her fiance and their friends.

Haley’s eye for video projects stems from her childhood: stealing her mom’s camcorder, recording plays with her friends, and switching between being an actor and the director. Her excitement and exhilaration is found when she gets to unravel someone’s story and then re-build it visually, through a camera lens. Videography allows Haley to feed her creative side and express herself and her faith. “I derive inspiration from the little things, and I love it,” she says. Although her work focuses on people, animals bring Haley the most joy. She spends the vast majority of her free time with her horse, Salty, and her dog, Romeo.

Architect Of Approach
A natural-born whiz with all things numbers and problem solving, Emma spent her childhood allowance on microscopes and physics sets, and her summers doing extra math work. These interests laid the foundation for her newfound passion in college (statistics and consumer behavior), and now assist her in turning marketing breakdowns into breakthroughs. “Helping people and businesses reach their goals is the greatest part of my job. I love watching their successes and the growth they lead to!” Emma says. She has a heart for others, and her faith, her fiancé, and her dog, Maisie, bring the most joy to her daily life.

Always on the ball, coordinated, and attentive, Morgan acts as our “Queen Bee,” if you will. As C.E.O., she keeps us in line and on task! And she’s built for it, too: when it came to group projects in her school days, she says, “I always had everyone lined out with responsibilities, deadlines, and organization. I was a bit annoying, but we always ended up with a good grade!” Morgan exercises her own creativity through wedding planning, home design, and dancing. Her little family is all she needs: her husband spoils her, her daughter inspires her, and her golden doodle, Ellie Mae, loves her.

Hive truly brought our vision to life! They took the time to research our industry and create custom-tailored content for our brand. The team is very creative and each one of them brings a unique talent to the table. KWM would not be where or what it is without the work they’ve done for us over the years!
We love how in each meeting, they not only take notes but actually provide real-time mock-ups to ensure they’re following our thought process for a particular project. It’s amazing how attentive they are to our ideas!
Hive has been an absolute blast to work with. From our discovery meeting until now, they’ve taken even our craziest ideas and made them a reality. Super thankful for these guys.
They are respectful of our time as business owners and are always well-prepared and informed when we meet.
It’s amazing to me that they don’t wear little magicians hats all the time. Seriously — they’re THAT good! Fresh, young minds; an individualized approach for each project; and goal-oriented progress. What more could you ask for??
